ARMS SHOULD BE AWAY

While I was a child, I understood that Gaziantep was a dangerous city. A man came and looked at my bracelets. Then he said that he would buy a candy if I gave my gold bracelets.I gave my bracelets,he bought a candy for me.After I returned to my home ,my mother realized that I didn’t have my bracelets. Then I noticed that Gaziantep was very dangerous city to live without being hurt and crime rate was very high.
One of the reasons why crime rate is high is arm that is legal.Owing to this law, people, especially adolescents, tend to take up arms.If adolescents have weapons with them, there will probably be murderers.Adolescents are angry about everything such as world, their families, their friends. They are easily annoyed. If they are angry with someone, they tend to use their weapons as the weapons make them courageous in their future life.Their future life are their university life,so there will be demonstration in the universities. At the end of the demonstration ,there will be many death people.I believe that if someone is angry about someone or something, there isn’t anything he/she can’t do.If many university students have weapons with them, many terrorist actions are hihg. In Turkey , terorist actions are one of the main problems. In our country , there are many events that affect our people. Due to this law , there will be many terorists actions in universities.Consequently, many young people have been into prison . Most of them die without any reason.
The other reason is lacking of education. People who don’t have education is probably unemployed. Unemployment is one of the main problem in Turkey. Unemployment affects people negatively. Some people can feel depressed. Because of this depression , they commit suicide or kill their family members.
Gaziantep is a dangerous place. There are two main reason why crime rate is very high. One of them is arm that allow to be use legally. The other one is education. If you want to live in a safer country, arm should be banned.

CONVENTİONAL MEDİCİNE DOESN'T HELP CANCER PATİENTS

Nonconventional medicine is the way that people use to improve their health, but people don't know if their treatment works or not.I think it is sometimes a good treatment for people's health. For example , if you catch a cold , there are lots of way to feel better without any pills or any kind of medication;however, it can be seen as a wrong treatment by some people. When we examine most of cancer patients or some pills that affect people's health badly or some kind of alternative therapies, we can understand nonconventional medicine make us feel better than the other kind.
There are three important event that we can understand nonconventional medicine's positive effect.I think the most important one is cancer treatments.Everybody know cancer is a fatal disease, but we can't say all cancer patients will die. This disease requires some treatments such as chemotheraphy, radiotherapy and surgery. Many cancer patients have these treatment, but %96 of all cancer patients die.Is this a successful treatment for cancer? The other thing I can say is pills. Some pills are bad effect on our body. They can even be fatal. For example, some pills have strong effect on heart and people who take the pills can die of heart attack. At the same time, they can destroy people's kidney. The last one is nonconventional medicine for high blood pressure.High blood pressure can develop without signs or symptoms and exist for years;however, unknown high blood pressure can result in serious health risk such as heart attack,so alternative therapies such as acupuncture, yoga can help.
Nonconventional medicine , also known as alternative medicine , can help us feel better. Why is it effectice? The answer is simple: people know what they can do for their health, that is they can know the best treatment.Because of this , their treatment will be successful.I think alternative medicine is the best way to feel better if your illness is not more serious.

compare&contrast paragraph about two films

The Miracle Worker is more effective than Angela's Ashes in some ways. The first reason is the characters and their attitudes.Although their topic is similar to each other ,struggling for something is clear in The miracle worker.Annie is struggling for Helen who is a deaf and blind child. She wants to teach her and at the end of the movie ,she succeeds. However,we can't find it in Angela's Ashes.Angela loses her three children, but then she gives birth to two children. While I was watching the movie, I was expecting something very hard and because of this , Angela forgot about herself, but it didn't happen. The other one is their theme. The theme is explained clearly in the Miracle Worker,so the movie is shorter than the other one, but I think someone can't understand exactly Angela's Ashes's theme. The last thing is language. In Angela's Ashes, there are lots of idioms, some unfamiliar words. As the struggling for a child , the theme and the language is explained clearly ,I think the miracle worker is much more effective than the other one.

The world I live is not known by anybody. This place serves only me and because of this, it is my own world. When I was a young child ,I was playing in it . Now,It is the place in which I study, watch movies and listen to music in tranquality. It contains some special things that belong to me .
Firstly ,as you open the door, you feel the mystery. Many years ago, my brother had this room .When my parents bought the house he didn’t want to move because he wanted to stay the previous home, but there was a place that enjoys in the house. This room was his favorite place and he died in it and now, I have it.Although I don't believe it , everybody who comes to my room feels it.The other thing , it is a cozy place and what makes it cozy is the wall's colour. The colour is purple ,but it is not dark purple. It affects your mood since you enter it.At the right side of the room, there is bed.It belonged to my brother and in front of you,you can see my bed. It's near the window.Due to this, while you are listening music, you can enjoy the sky's beauty. At the corner,my computer sits on the desk and at the bottom of it,there are some movies that wait you to watch ..You can choose one of them and you enjoy it.Another thing is bookcases.Actually, this bookcase belongs to my father. It is composed of his books and it is like a small library. You can find whatever you want.

Specialities of Gaziantep(process)

It is important tradition for Turkish people.Turkish people love it very much. For children ,itmeans entertainment and for adults ,it means togetherness.Everyone either adults or children enjoy it.What is it? It is the Ramadan feast.Ramadab feast is celebrated by every kind of person in Turkish and in my hometown, Gaziantep's people have some specialities for the feast.
Gaziantep's people are known by their eating habits and because of this habit, people makespecial meals for ramadan .The first speciality is Yuvalama. I can say yuvalama is for this feast.Everybody in Gaziantep has to make this special meal. While you are eating it , you feel its delicious taste. This is enjoyable part of it and making it is difficult part of it.It is too difficult to make on your own.The person who wants to make yuvalama has to call for her neigbours or friends. It takes much more time than any other meal. The first preparation for feast is yuvalama and then making cookies take second stage.cookies with pistachio or cacao have to be made. ın every home, there are cookies. cookies are the most delicious things. The other preparation is baklava or kadayıf. Gaziantep is famous for pictachio and baklava. Due to this, baklava is important for us .
The aim of feast is gathering people and provide people, who don't see each other for long year, too see each other and due to this, people some preparations. Cleaning the house is the first thing. People clean their house for guest. The older people's house is more important than any other, because people come for their older relative. In this feast, the dead are unforgetable and people visit their relative's graves, pray for them. Before the feast, people go to the cemetery. The other thing is buying new clothes. Every item must be new from head to toe, especially for children. Children enjoy buying new clothes. They are happy with their new clothes, but buying something is really tiring. You cannot feel your feet after the shopping.
The last thing before the fest is presents. People give presents to their older relatives. For example, we give presents for my grandmothers. The present is always chocolate. These are prepared. Allowance is also important. Allowance which was given in a hankerchief long years ago is given in an usual way, but it must be prepared before.
Ramadan feast is special for everyone, but we, have lots of specialty. Yuvalama and cookies are the most important part of the feast. They are highly delicious although making them is really risky and difficult. Baklava is the other important thing, because we are a baklava city. Ramadan feast which means entertainment for children and togetherness for adults can make you tired while preparing something, but when you eat these special meals, you will forget about all your tiredness.

The Reasons That Lead to Teenager Stress(cause and effect)

People who are under stress experience three stages. When people begin to realize stressor ,alarm reaction begins. After people realize the stressor, their organism tries to adapt the situation. They experience resistance stage, but if their organism can't adapt the stressor, their organism enters the stage of exhaustion. Many people can experience these stages , but stress affects teenagers more easily than adults. There are many reasons why teenagers are affected easily.
First, teenagers have to do some homeworks such as researc projects, writing term paper, assignments, presentations and taking many exams in order to have a good career. These are stressful events for teenagers. While they are doing homework, they need a great deal of effort. In addition to this effort ,the time is important to finish homework. If the deadline is near, they become highly stress. The other stressful thing is taking exams.Students during their life have to take many exams. These are the most worring thing for a teenager .For example, teenagers who study for university exam have to pass university exam.If they can't pass it they have to study one more year. This is vey stressful.Because of being afraid of failing exam, they feel stress during this year. They know that if they can't pass ,they have to study one more year, feel the same stress. These are very tiring experiences. They also worry about their future .As they want to have a good career , they enter this exam, but if they never win it,what are they do?These questions make them worry.
Pyschological events are also important for a teenager. These events affect them much more than other causes. What can pyschological events be?They are events such as friendships or changing their living places. While a good friendship affects people in agood way, a bad frienships affects people in a bad way.It make teenagers stress.
When a teenager has a problem ,listening to his/her problem or trying to solve his/her problem affect his/her mood positively;however , when you have a problem and if you are alone ,you can't resist the stressor .Changing places ,for example, changing a school is stressful.Changing a school means new friendships, new teachers, new exam styles. These are not easy events.
Family is inseperable part of their life and having good relationships with family make teenager progress. For example , a teenager who will take a university exam is really stressful because of this exam and parent's attitudes can make them highly stress. If the parents always say they have to study or in order to study they force them, the teenagers' life becomes unendurable. The death of a family member also affects them.Death of mother or father changes their life and the most difficult thing is living without him/her.It makes people deppressed, sad and some of them feel alone.
Stress have many causes among teenagers. As they have to pull up their socks in their homeworks or exams, they are under stress. If they have bad frienships or if they have to change their school, they become stressful. In additiıon to them, family is unforgettable.Death of family member can make them deppressed.

Freedom Fighters In Turkey(argumentative)

Turkey has always had some problems since the recorded history. Many years ago, there were many nationality in our country. Our grandfathers lived with people who are from different nations. For example ,in the east of Turkey , our grandfather lived together ,that is they got along with each other ,but then because of some events and some thoughts ,Terrorısm appeared.Terrorism is a bad event that causes many innocent people die and it doesn’t mean discrimintion among nations.

The most common group of terrorism in Turkey is pkk.The group was founded in 1974,but was formally founded in 1978. Why is the group bad for us? The first reason is their aims. The group wants to establish their own government.Owing to their aim ,we are fighting against each other.this fighting always results in many deaths. We have lost many soldiers ,many policemen, many innocent people since the outbreak of pkk. Many mothers cried for their sons, many children don’t have a father now and they have to live without feeling a father’s love for them. Wives have no more grief than mothers who lost their sons and children who lost their father, but these are not enough for them to reach their aim. Turkey has been fighting against pkk since 1984.We lost many people and we are still losing. In a documentary, it is stressed:In 1912-1913 Balkan War there were 4307 martries . In 1919-1922 Istiklal War there were 10.885 martries. . In 1953 Corea War there were 731 martries. In 1974,Cyprus Peace Operation ,there were 486 martries and 1984-..... struggling with pkk thousands of guards died.Thousands of compratiots died because of pkk.

Turkey has had many nations since hundreds of years.Turkey is a multinational country. we all lived together with Ermenian,Arabian and Kurdish people. For example,Hatay is full of Arabian people .and There are many Ermenian in all over Turkey and there are also many Kurdish people in all over turkey we are not against the people who are different from nations. We are against groups that want to seperate us .

Some kurdish people thnk that there are a discrimination between kurdish and turksh people.they can say they are not behaved in a friendly way.due tuthe fact that pkk composes of kurdish people, they can feel bad because of this.thay can think the government’s and people’s attitude toward them is different from the other, but we can’t say that every kurdish peopleareterrorist that fights for freedom.Every Kurdish people are not a freedom fighter. We are not against these people.we are against the people who aim to seperate us.

Terrorism affected badly many years ago. Now,it continues affecting us. We lost lots of people because of pkk’s aims .Turkey that is a multinational country and Turkish’s people lived together with other nations and we are against organizations, groups that affect us badly. If they are freedom fighter for them ,they are terrorists for us and we love freedom much more than them. One man’s terrorist can’t be another man’s freedom fighter.

AN OCEAN ADVENTURE(example of descriptive essay)

As I watch, the waves from the shore look fun and almost innocent as they crest and then crash over one another. I can taste the salt in they air and watch little rainbows glisten through the prisms of the ocean’s spray. The warm ocean water toward the shore is covered with foam and bubbles from the rumbling waves as children and their families play in the gritty tan colored sand. I think to myself, “This is perfect”.
I make the final preparations on my Yamaha Waverunner. All of the fluid levels check full and there is a faint smell of gasoline mixed with the aromas of salt and fish in the air. I am now ready to brave and jump the mighty ocean waves of South Padre Island!
Before the truck backs the trailer into the warm waters at the dock and lowers the Waverunner into the blue-green abyss, I crank the engine for a final systems check. It roars powerfully, drowning out the sound of the birds circling overhead, as thick black and gray smoke initially pours from the exhaust and then slowly drifts away on the wind’s light breeze. I turn the impressive machine off to finish my final preparations.
As I put on the Jet Pilot lifejacket and tighten the thick blue straps, I remind myself to stay calm and not to make stupid or impulsive decisions during my journey into the ocean. It is easy to push oneself to the limits and lose track of reality. I must remember to respect Mother Nature at all times and keep in mind that I am not invincible.
I climb aboard the Waverunner and grab hold of the handbars, warm from the bright sun. Now the truck begins to back up, gently lowering me on this powerful machine into the calm waters of the docking area. As I drift from the trailer, I take a moment to look around and enjoy the peaceful serenity of the smooth, almost glass-like, water.
As I push the start button and the Waverunner roars to life, the power vibrates my seat at first and then settles into a soft rumble. I navigate my way through the docks until I am in the channel. I can now press the throttle and hang on for a fun ride! While the waves through the exit channel are only half of the size of the ocean’s mighty waves, this gives me time to warm up and get in sync with the powerful 135 horse powered Waverunner. I am now ready to take on the Gulf of Mexico!
I drive out far enough to stay out of the foamy white surf. Suddenly, the ocean begins to crest around me. As I drive into the waves, I am careful to only depress the throttle to a maximum of half power. Any more would be foolish and could cause a wipeout. I approach a wave with a perfect peak and at the ideal time. I gently squeeze the throttle and the loud roar of the engine fills my ears as the power pushes me up to the foamy white crest of the wave.
In an instant, I am no longer floating on the water, but I am soaring like the beautiful white birds through the misty air. In one brief moment, I look down and estimate that I am eight to ten feet in the air for a split second before I begin my descent back to the briny waters. In a flash the back end of the Waverunner sits down into the ocean with the front following in a rocking motion. All around me is a fine spray of the salty water. I have landed!
Salt and sweat mix to run down my face and into my mouth. I swallow some of the brackish mixture as I wipe my face with my hand and then run my hand through my dripping hair to dry it out. I think to myself, “What a way to spend an afternoon”.
Soon, I notice that the sun is slowly fading in the west so I decide to turn back toward the docks. As I enter the entrance channel, I decide to return at a slower pace to enjoy my last few minutes at sea. The sun reflects off the water in brilliant colors of gold, orange and red. The beads of sweat and water glimmer on my bronze skin in the vanishing rays of light.
To my surprise, I look out and see smooth gray hump with a dorsal fin surface about twenty feet in front of me. It is a dolphin! What a beautiful sight. As this intelligent creature slides back under the ocean’s surface, I spot two more dolphins and then another joins them. The first dolphin emerges again to make a total of four. They are swimming in front of me, playing in the surf. It is almost as if they are leading me to shore. As I idle through the channel, they slowly disappear back to their home in the Gulf.
Once the dolphins are gone, I gently squeeze the throttle and head back to the docks. With a final look back, a see the sun’s reflection off of the glassy smooth water as the ripples of my wake break the surface behind. I think about what a wonderful experience this day has been.
Approaching the boat trailer, I realize how physically tired I am from the constant rush of adrenaline brought by my adventures. I have the memories of the exciting jumps of the waves and the vivid pictures in my mind of the graceful dolphins swimming in the sunset. I am ready to go home.

The Enjoyment of Atlanta (example of descriptive essay)

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I have visited many places throughout the United States, however, none are as exciting as Atlanta, Georgia. In Atlanta, there are many places to go and sights to see. For example, Six Flags Over Georgia, Stone mountain Park, and the Atlanta Braves Stadium, are all in or near the city of Atlanta.
Six Flags Over Georgia is a theme park containing anything from sweet treats to fun rides. Six Flags provides many activities for all ages. It is not at all uncommon to see famous cartoon characters, such as bugs Bunny, roaming around the park. Olde r children and adults who possess strong stomachs may enjoy riding the various roller coasters available. For example, The Ninja, is my favorite. The Ninja goes up and down steep hills and even loops upside down. Six Flags also has water rides availabl e to keep people cool. My favorite is Thunder river. Last June, I was lucky enough to get caught under the waterfall. Six Flags also has games to play and many souvenir shops. As for the sweets I mentioned earlier, the funnel cakes are absolutely deli cious. I would highly recommend Six Flags as a place to go when visiting the Atlanta area.
Stone Mountain Park is another tourist attraction near Atlanta. The park is located in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Not only is it a fun place to visit, but it is also historical. The mountain is the largest exposed piece of granite in the world. The f ace of the mountain was carved by the same man who carved Mt. Rushmore; however, he did not finish it. The carving, which is located on the top of the mountain, remained unfinished until it became a state park. The establishment of Stone Mountain State Park took place in 1963. The carving represents three key figures of the Confederacy riding their horses. The men included are Ulysses Grant, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis. The width of the carving is three-hundred yards, therefore, the width of a football field. Along with historical museums, the park has campgrounds and horseback riding. Stone Mountain Park also has a water park with a beach and a beautiful golf course. My favorite activity, however, is the laser show. The laser show takes p lace on the face of the mountain. Many shows take place on the holidays, such as July 4th. Stone Mountain Park is also a main focal point for the 1996 Olympics. There will be seven events taking place in the park. I definitely won't miss that attracti on!
Last, but definitely not the least, is the exciting Atlanta Braves Stadium. I spend most of my time there when visiting Atlanta. The stadium is always packed with rowdy Braves fans wearing various forms of Atlanta paraphernalia. there are many conce ssion stands which serve hot dogs, pizza, nachos, and cold drinks. It is exciting to see all of the players dressed in uniform, not to mention the usual overweight coaches. The Braves games have been increasingly interesting over the past couple of year s. For example, last year they were one game away of winning the national championship. I am hoping there will be another chance this year. Another exciting thing to do while at a Braves game is to get autographs. The players usually give them out bef ore the game. For instance, last summer I received Terry Pendleton's autograph. He wrote, "Keep on pulling for us Chuck." I will always keep that to remind me of the wonderful year they had.
In conclusion, there are many places to visit in Atlanta. The most exciting ones include Six Flags, Stone Mountain, and the Atlanta Braves Stadium. Each one offer various forms of fun for all ages. For instance, Six Flags offer kiddie rides as well as rides for the older children and adults. Stone Mountain Park offers horseback riding and laser shows. Lastly, the Braves Stadium, offers great food and famous autographs. Everyone should visit the city of Atlanta at least once, I know I have.

The unhappiness of students(cause and effect)

In Turkey, almost every student from 10 to 30 has an exam that they have to pass.A student who is sixth, seventh, eighth class has to pass sbs in order to have a good education.Like sbs, there are lots of exams for students such as lgs ygs and kpss. These exams are always boring for students.exams mak e students stress.Due to this stress, they are sometimes agressive and unhappy. This unhappiness of students owing to the exams has many reasons.
The first one of the student's unhappiness owing to the exams is that exams will affect their life;for example,ıf someone who have to pass the exam (lgs, ygs) doesn't win , he/she lose one year in her/his education life and he/she has to study again and this affects his/her emotions badly. At the same time,it affects his/her score.Recent interviews with students revealed that nearly every student will be affected and this causes them some psychology problems.
The exams which it is still thought whether they must be removed from education system or not make students depressed and the unhappiness of students is due to the fact that exams will affect their life.Life is important for every kind of person in the world.

Differences among spouse(opinion essay)

Marriage that is important for every kind of person can be the most difficult thing for people's life.

Although some people think that love is the most important thing in a marriage ,this is sometimes wrong.

In addition to love, there are many situation that people must think .

one of the situation that people must think is culture differences. It affects couples very much.

Culture differences include different tastes, different languages. For instance, each one of a couple wants to listen different kind of music or watch different kind of movies.

The other one ,I think,is religion. Those who have different beliefs have many problems.Religion can cause some problems among spouse, because people live according to their beliefs,

but in addition to these ,people can think that marrying someone from another culture can teach a person a culture.By marriying , you can learn different cultures, different beliefs.

You can have the opportunity to meet foreign people and you can also have a second language. To some extent, it's true.Someone can learn everything that belongs to different culture, but he / she can't have a happy marriage.

For a short period of time, living in other cultures is perfect.

love is necessary for all human beings, but ıt may last earlier.Living in another culture is the most difficult thing and people must think all the situation that she/he can face

the peaceful world

(the world I live is not known by anybody. This place serves only me and because of this, it is my own world.)It is the place in which I study, watch movies and listen to music in tranquality. It contains some special things.

It is my world. When I was a young child ,I didn't like my room, but now I like (ıt is peaceful atmosphere.)

Education was the most important differences(compare and contrast)

With an opportunity that comes suddenly,I had achance to spend my time in England. This chance taught me lots of things. It also provided that I can analyze the features of two countries,,by evaluating one by one.Now , I can see clearly the similarity and differences of them.
the similarities between them was a few .I can say the only similarity that I realize was the crime rate. The crime rate in England was very high.Like Turkey, people was afraid of going out alone after twelve o'clock. They also warned others not to go out alone after twelve o'clock.Countries have many differences and the first one was different type of houses.England has usually semi-detachted houses and these houses were near each other. These were much smaller than Turkey's houses. For example, the house that I stayed during my education has three rooms,a kitchen and a small garden. There is a room at every floor. The second one was weather.England's weather was absolutely different from our country. It was very changeable and ıt had clement climate. It was always raining. However, Turkey's weather is completely different from it.Turkey has four season and the parts of it can have different climate at the same time. The other thing was education that was the most important one.In their education system, there was no homework.Teachers teach students everything during the class.Students who have no homework are very relax and this affects their grade positively. The last differences that I can realize was shopkeepers. These shopkeepers were very strict about their schedule time.In the country, shops were closed at five pm and shopkeepers open the shop at eight am and noone didn't sell an item.
visiting a country provides people evaluating countries.By evaluating , people can realize the differences and similarities of them.Differences cause somebody to think about the way that she/he did.

A SAMPLE OPINION ESSAY(PROBLEM SOLVİNG)

many students don't finish school. Why is this, and how can the problem be solved?

School Drop-Outs:Problems and Solutıons
Today, although most students complete school,a large still drop out because of family, social and work pressure. This problem requires serious action from both individuals and the government.
Most students who don't complete school do so because of family problems.Girls, especially, want to get married and start a family. Some parents are not interested in education and don't support their children in studying.Social problems are also a contributing factor.Education is compulsory but, despite this ,some people do not take it seriously.Furthermore, jobs are available even if students do not have a good education. The third reason is work pressure. Some families are poor and need their children to work in order to increase the income. All these problems will create young people who don't have any skills and who will not be able to improve their lifes for the family and the country.

There are several things that can be done about these problems.Parents should be encouraged to send their children to school.Scools with baby-minding facilities should be opened specially for married students. The government needs to stress the importance of education and even offer financial support to students to continue. This will encourage students to stay at school rather than start working.
In conclusion, there are several things that the government can do to allow more people to finish school. However,a number of society attitudes also have to change if the country' young people are to achieve their full potential.
